School directional sign

A roadside sign carrying the school crest, founding year, distance and an arrow, for a rural primary school.

A sign at a junction has one sentence to work with. This one carries the ministry, the school name, the distance and the direction, and nothing else.

Sizing for the road

The school name is set large enough to be read from a moving vehicle; the distance and arrow carry almost equal weight, because a driver needs both to decide whether to turn. The motto sits small, where it does not compete.

The panel is bordered and mounted on a painted post, in the school's own colours, so it reads as belonging to the school rather than as generic roadside signage.
